That’s so interesting! Another amazing metaphor for spiritual transformation from nature. I’m also working on shedding the “I must know everything first” idea - I get stuck in it all too often. And parenting for me these days is pretty much a lesson in “there is no goddamn map, so just do the next right thing!!” In other words, life is forcing me to shed that skin whether I feel ready or not 😅
Ahh the "next right thing"! I love that phrase & have used it in the past. Thanks for the reminder. I think I need to dust it off and put it back into the rotation. Isn't it crazy how life has a knack for accelerating that shedding sometimes?
Maggie, Questions are tough to incorporate in a writing. On the one hand you want to promote thought. On the other you don't want to come across as using canned questions. For me the ideal question would read something like "What do you think?' or even Thoughts? Hope that helps .D
Thanks for the comment Dave! I agree! It’s always a dance & it’s tough to not quite know the audience you’re writing for. There’s certainly people out there , like you, who a certain level of introspection comes very naturally too. Then there’s others, like me years ago, who found explicit prompts more inviting. I love your comment because it made ME think. Factor in my background as a teacher and it adds a whole other layer. Ah, the questions we ask have so much power! Thanks for giving me something to ponder this morning. Maybe I’ll experiment and move toward more nuance next week :)

Reminds me of what Krishnamurti said “I don't mind what happens next” if we let go of the need to know, we are liberated
Love that!

Maggie, I have no doubt you will come up with the mix that works. D
