Last week I wrote about embracing my spiritual side.
I almost un-scheduled that post, but I’m so happy I didn’t. I’ve connected with so many new people as a result. I continue to grow. This newsletter continues to grow. I’m just so grateful to have you here.
So, in the spirit (pun intended) of growth here is something new!
A Tarot Card For You and a Tarot Card for Me
Tarot is such a powerful tool for self-reflection. Aside from using the cards myself, I’ve started to incorporate them into my coaching work. I pulled a card for you & one for me. I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
For You: Ace of Wands
Sometimes we sit around and wait for conditions to be perfect to take action, but the truth is, there is no such thing as a perfect time. Tap into your underlying confidence that even though your success might be slightly out of sight like the castle in the background of this card it’s still there. To others, your choice to act might seem like like it came out of nowhere, but you’ll know it came from your heart. When you lead from that space there is no way that castle will ever fall out of sight.
Invitations to Reflect (I would LOVE to hear some of your responses):
Identify a decision or choice you’re repeatedly drawn toward but haven’t acted on.
Envision the best possible result. Imagine walking into the castle of success and looking around. What would you see?
Simply by committing to the decision, new growth automatically takes place like the sprouts on the wand, how can you help support this new growth so you keep momentum?
Me: Three of Pentacles
The sculptor standing on the bench is what I connected with first on this card. Combine being the oldest daughter, a former teacher, and my character strengths and I tend to reflexively jump “onto the bench” ready to lead a conversation or execute. I want to be more mindful of when I take on that role. I want to be able to oscillate between getting my hands dirty “on the floor” and “being on the bench”. In fact, I think for that to successfully happen it means working with people who have differing strengths and backgrounds, like the other two figures on this card, but are also willing to switch positions “in the room” on occasion. Ultimately, it’s an indication that any successful situation first starts with knowing myself.
My Action Items:
Start taking note of the situations & times that I am defaulting to “being on the bench”.
Take this insight and revisit my strengths and values to see if anything needs any updating.
Get curious about the people that I collaborate regularly with and see if there are ways that can help facilitate “more floor time” for me.

Yay!! 💖💖 I love this and the prompt to imagine the “castle” of success. I notoriously have ideas...but then don’t act on them.
For me taking action has become a one moment at a time thing. It was good to reflect on this question!
