Before you read today, I want to pass along a special invitation.
Over the last few months, my heart felt pulled to create a space for people to take a break from the go-go-go.
Each arrive meetup is built with the intention of slowing down, learning & practicing a tool to help you do so, and fostering a deeper connection with yourself, others & nature.
If you’re in the Plymouth, MA area I will be hosting these meetups in-person on Saturdays starting 6/24.
I also created a virtual offering on Mondays starting 6/26.
There are so many faces behind heartfelt comments that I would love to meet & connect with.
Details & registration can be found here.
I closed my eyes confidently as I sat in the faded green kayak.
The glass-like water provided assurance that when they opened I wouldn’t find myself in the weeds.
The left side of my face was bathed in warmth. The right felt chilly in a way that mirrored the dark blue water.
My closed eyes intensified the sound of the geese splashing down & the smell of the murky, brackish water surrounding me.
There was peace.
My eyes opened and the world appeared more vibrant.
I scanned the horizon.
To my left the setting sun.
To my right, the rising moon—two days away from totality.
I was perfectly in between.
I was comfortable.
I was in between and comfortable.
It was the first time my brain strung those words together in a sentence.
The between is often cast off as uncomfortable and temporary—a thing to move out of.
But that evening, I didn’t desire to move out of the in-between.
It contained all the magic.
How can you embrace and appreciate the "in-between" moments in your life, recognizing the magic they hold?
Reflect on a recent situation or experience where you found yourself in an "in-between" state. What did you discover or learn during that time?
In what ways can you cultivate a sense of peace and comfort within the uncertainty and transitions of life?
Incorporate more mindfulness & fun into your life this month with my journal, Lessons from Nature. It’s filled with 30 items and corresponding prompts to practice intentionally using your sense of sight to explore your world.
